US China Relations: According to a simulation conducted by the US Congress, in case of a war with China, America will exhaust its missiles in a few days and will face defeat in the conflict.
In this simulation organized by the House Select Committee on Chinese Communist Party on Thursday (December 5), members of Congress and experts questioned the limitations of the American defense industry. They said that this industry is incapable of providing timely supplies to the US Army, which may make it impossible to win the war.
China's growing dominance in Taiwan and the Indo-Pacific
This warning has come at a time when China's aggression is increasing in Taiwan and the Indo-Pacific region. Many countries in this region are allies of America, including Taiwan. In such a situation, America will have to get involved in any military conflict.
John Molnar, head of the House CCP Committee, warned that the US is in no position to win a war with China under the current circumstances. He said, "Our defense industrial base does not have the capability to deter and win a conflict with the PRC (People's Republic of China),"
The problem increased due to dependence on China
Ranking member of the committee and Democratic representative Raja Krishnamurthy expressed concern over the problems revealed in the simulation. He said that there are big gaps in US defense production capacity and this industry is dependent on China for many important minerals.
"History tells us that we need a strong defense industrial base now to deter aggression and protect the world from another devastating conflict," Krishnamurthy said.
There was a shortage after the weapons were given to Ukraine
Christian Broz, Chief Strategy Officer of Anduril Industries, said that according to the simulation, the US will exhaust its weapons in less than a week. He said that due to the weapons given to Ukraine, the US now lacks strategic capability.
This warning was also reiterated by National Security Advisor Jack Sullivan. He said, "If there is a full-fledged war with China, American weapons will be exhausted very quickly. This is a matter of serious concern."
