How to get correction done online

  • First of all you have to visit the official website of Income Tax India (www.incometaxindia.gov.in).
  • Now here you have to log in using PAN number.
  • After this, the option of PAN card correction will have to be selected.
  • Now all the information asked for on the screen and the related documents will have to be uploaded.
  • After this, to submit the form, you will have to pay around Rs 106 which is the correction fee.
  • Now after paying the fees you have to submit it, after which you will get a receipt.
  • With the help of the number given on the receipt, you can track when your updated PAN card will be delivered.

You can also get correction done in PAN card through NSDL e-Gov portal.

How to do correction offline

Apart from online, you can also get your PAN card corrected offline. For this, you will have to go to the nearest PAN facility center. Here you will have to fill the form for correction in the PAN card and also attach the necessary documents. After this, submit the form and the updated PAN card will come to your home in a few days.
