US President Donald Trump is sending back illegal immigrants to their country and has launched a campaign for this. On the other hand, Trump has come up with an offer for the rich under which they can become eligible to acquire US citizenship by spending a huge amount of money. Emphasis on increasing investment and employment

Trump announced the Gold Card plan on Wednesday. He said that immigrants can get a permit to stay in America by paying a fee of 50 lakh dollars. This plan will replace the current 35-year-old EB-5 visa program. Under the EB visa program, any person can get a permit to stay in America by investing 10 lakh dollars.

How different is Gold Card from EB-5

There is a huge difference between the two types of visas. Under the current EB-5 program, foreign investors have to invest between 8 and 10 lakh dollars in US companies and create at least 10 new jobs. Apart from this, one has to wait for 5-7 years for a green card.
