Martyr Suresh Kumar Himachal Pradesh: Havildar Suresh Kumar, a resident of Himachal Pradesh, made the supreme sacrifice while serving the nation. Suresh Kumar was serving as a Havildar in the 18th Dogra Regiment. He was a resident of Baggi Tunggal village of Tehsil Sadar in Mandi district.

Havildar Suresh Kumar of Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh was cremated with military honours on Thursday. Suresh Kumar's wife Dhani Devi bid him a final farewell by saluting him with pride. There is a wave of mourning across the state since the news of Havildar Suresh Kumar's martyrdom was received. 

Recently Naib Subedar Rakesh Kumar had sacrificed his life

He left this world due to sudden deterioration in his health while on duty in the battle field. Havaldar Suresh Kumar was 42 years old and had been serving in the Indian Army for the past 25 years. Just four days ago, Naib Subedar Rakesh Kumar was martyred in an encounter with terrorists in Kishtwar, Jammu and Kashmir.

He was a resident of Barnog village of Chhamyar Panchayat of Nachan Assembly constituency of Mandi district. Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla, Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri and Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur have expressed condolences on the sacrifice of martyred Havildar Suresh Kumar.

Expressing his condolences to the bereaved family, Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla said that the nation will always remember the supreme sacrifice of Havildar Suresh Kumar and he will remain a source of inspiration for all. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that the entire state stands with the members of the bereaved family in this hour of grief.

He said that the grateful nation will always remember the indomitable courage and sacrifice of Suresh Kumar. The Chief Minister has prayed to God for peace to the departed soul and for the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
