Beirut. Lebanon's Iran-backed armed group Hezbollah attacked Israel on Thursday for the second consecutive day with more than 100 large rockets and 30 drones. Hezbollah has claimed that its rockets and drones have targeted nine Israeli army bases, causing heavy damage to Israel.

Hezbollah also fired about 250 rockets at Israel on Wednesday. Hezbollah is carrying out these attacks in response to the killing of its top commander Abu Taleb in an Israeli airstrike on Tuesday. Although the fight between Hezbollah and Israel has been going on since October 8, 2023, it has intensified in recent days.

More than 300 Hezbollah fighters were killed

 

So far, more than 300 Hezbollah fighters and a dozen Israeli soldiers and civilians have been killed in this battle. Hezbollah is attacking Israel in support of Hamas. Earlier, there was a war between Israel and Hezbollah in 2006 in which tens of thousands of people from both sides were killed.

Hezbollah occupies a large area of ​​Lebanon and the organization also has a share in the country's power. Meanwhile, Iran-backed Yemen's Houthi rebels have damaged a Greek cargo ship in the Red Sea by attacking it with a missile. The Houthis have also been attacking ships passing through and around the Red Sea for the past seven months in protest against Israeli attacks in Gaza and in support of Hamas.

Israeli attacks continue in Gaza

 

Amid the ongoing ceasefire talks, the Israeli army continued its attacks in Gaza on Thursday. During this, targeted attacks were carried out in the southern city of Rafah in which several Hamas fighters are reported to have been killed. It has been learned that 30 people have been killed in Gaza in the latest attacks by the Israeli army. With this, the number of Palestinians killed in Israeli attacks in Gaza so far has reached 37,232.
