Hathras. The main accused and main sevadar of the satsang incident Devprakash Madhukar along with two other organizers were arrested by the police from Delhi on Friday and presented in the court on Saturday. The court sent him to jail in judicial custody for 14 days. 

The police denied Madhukar's surrender claim and expressed the possibility of political funding of Surajpal's (Narayan Sakar Vishwa Hari) program and the expansion of his aura. 

During interrogation of the accused, it was found that Madhukar used to collect funds for every satsang event. Meanwhile, the judicial commission also started investigating the case and visited the spot. 

The team said that Surajpal will also be called if needed. Meanwhile, a video of Surajpal went viral on Saturday morning. In this video, he is blaming the rioters for the accident. 121 people died in the Satsang accident on July 2. 

Nine accused arrested so far

SP Nipun Aggarwal said on Saturday that the main accused of the incident Madhukar, who was carrying a reward of Rs 1 lakh, was arrested by the SOG team of Hathras from Najafgarh in Delhi on Friday. The police have also arrested sevadar Sanju Yadav and Ramprakash Shakya. So far nine accused have been arrested. 

He termed the claim of Surajpal's lawyer AP Singh of surrender as false. The SP said that Madhukar was contacted by many political parties some time back. An investigation is being conducted regarding his fund collection. 

There is also a suspicion that some political party funds Surajpal's programs and other resources. This is being investigated. The accounts of the sevadars, money trail, trust transactions, movable and immovable assets, donations will also be included in the investigation. The help of the Income Tax Department will also be taken in this. 

Police will take Madhukar on remand

During interrogation, Madhukar told that he has been working on contract as an assistant technician engineer in MNREGA in Etah district since 2010. He has been associated with Surajpal's events for many years. He also collects funds for his organization. Permission for the satsang was taken in his name. Police is preparing to take Madhukar on remand. 

Madhukar fell on his face while running

After medical examination, he was presented in the court. The media asked Madhukar about the stampede in the satsang and other questions, but the accused did not answer anything. To avoid the media, the police rushed Madhukar out from the back door, when he fell on his face. The policemen quickly caught hold of him and then took him away in the jeep while running.

The team of the judicial commission set up camp

The judicial commission team reached Hathras to investigate the matter. The team's chairman, former Allahabad High Court judge Brijesh Kumar Srivastava (II) and members former IAS officer Hemant Rao and former IPS officer Bhavesh Kumar Singh first talked to the officers in the police lines. 

ADG Anupam Kulshreshtha and Divisional Commissioner Chaitra V, who are part of the SIT, were asked about the report and records were taken. After this, information was taken from DM Ashish Kumar and SP Nipun Agarwal. After about an hour, the team reached the spot in Fullerai village of Sikandrarao. 

Talking to the media, former judge Brijesh Kumar Srivastava said that a conclusion can be reached only after understanding all the aspects. Whoever is an eyewitness in the case will be called for a statement.
