In Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, after the opening of a temple which was closed since the 1978 riots, illegal encroachment was found in the house adjacent to it. Additional SP Shrish Chand has given this information. Talking to ABP News, the Additional SP, after investigating and taking details of the house of Mateen Ahmed adjacent to the temple, said that the house owner told that additional construction has been made in the house, and they will start removing the construction from tomorrow. Investigation is being done on the basis of information from the people living nearby. There was no building behind the temple but empty land... and in what context the construction has been done, it is being investigated.
According to the information, the additional construction work in the house of Mateen Ahmed adjacent to the temple will be removed on its own, if this is not done then it will be demolished by the administration.

On the other hand, Sambhal's DM Dr. Rajendra Pansia has written a letter to the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) regarding this temple. The letter has been written by the District Magistrate to get the temple investigated scientifically. In a statement on Monday, the District Magistrate said that the temple could be around 500 years old. According to the District Magistrate, the entire debris of the well from which the idols were found will be removed.
Let us tell you that on Monday, a broken statue of Maa Parvati was found in a well at some distance from the temple. Later, the police took it with them and deposited it in the government treasury. The district administration is taking full care on the spot so that the situation does not worsen. There is a huge crowd of devotees around the temple and police force is deployed.
