Delhi News: Delhi High Court on Wednesday refused to allow Chhath Puja on the banks of Yamuna river. BJP's reaction has come after the High Court's decision. BJP's state president Virendra Sachdeva said that the failure of the Delhi government has been exposed. He said the court has made it clear that the water of Yamuna is not clean.
The BJP state president said that on the second day of Chhath Puja which started with Nahai Khay, mothers and sisters performed Kharna Puja today. Chhath committees or Chhath devotees are worried about offering Arghya to Sun God since yesterday afternoon. Chhath Ghats are not ready even till this evening. Workers of Purvanchal Morcha are associated with hundreds of Chhath committees. The feedback is that even till evening, pandals, tents, infrastructure are not even half ready at more than 600 temporary ghats. Virendra Sachdeva said that the situation is bad at the ghats on the banks of Yamuna.
Never seen chaos during Chhath Puja before: BJP
Contractors are not ready to provide tents, tables, tents and chairs to Chhath committees. There have been fights between Chhath committees and contractors at many places. The BJP president said that for the last two decades, arrangements for Chhath festival have been made at the government level in Delhi. The chaos seen this year has never been seen before.
There are hundreds of Purvanchal dominated colonies and lanes in Delhi. The Delhi Municipal Corporation did not clean the colonies and lanes till this evening. He said that Chhath festival is coming to an end. Atishi government has failed in the preparations of Chhath Puja.
Aam Aadmi Party MLAs and ministers tried to do politics by pressurizing Chhath committees. Today, the claims of Delhi government were exposed in the High Court. Virendra Sachdeva said that claims were made to provide clean water to the devotees in Yamuna.
