All Ekadashi dates have special significance in Sanatan scriptures. Ekadashi Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Margashirsha month is known as Mokshada Ekadashi. This time this Ekadashi fast will be observed on 11th December. On this day Lord Krishna preached the Gita to Arjun. Therefore, Gita Jayanti (Geeta Jayanti 2024) is celebrated on the day of Mokshada Ekadashi. On the occasion of Gita Jayanti, we are telling you such verses of Gita (Geeta Ke Shlok in Hindi) which will help you in getting the path of success in your life.

Verses of Gita

1. Hato va prapyasi swargam, jitva va bhokshyase mahim.

Tasmat Uttistha Kaunteya Yuddhaya Kritnischaya:॥ (Second Chapter, Verse 37)

The meaning of this verse of the Gita is that if you (Arjuna) die a heroic death in the war, you will attain heaven and if you succeed in the war, you will attain all happiness. So get up, O Kaunteya (Arjuna), and fight with determination.

2. Karmanyevadhikaraste ma phaleshu kadachan.

Maa Karmaphalheturbhurma te Sangostvakarmani॥ (Second Chapter, Verse 47)

In this verse, Lord Krishna tells Arjun that you have authority over your actions only, never over the fruits of your actions. Hence, do not do your actions for the fruits. Keep doing your actions in life and do not become the cause of the results of your actions.

3. Shraddhavanllabhate gyanam tatparh sanyatendriyah.

Gyanam Labdhwa Para Shantimchirenadhigachchhati. (Fourth Chapter, Verse 39)

The meaning of this shloka is that those who have faith in life, and control their senses, soon attain knowledge and then after attaining knowledge, they soon attain supreme peace.
