Violence on Hindus in Bangladesh: Protests are being held all over the world including India against the continuous attacks on minorities in Bangladesh. Meanwhile, Canadian Hindus protested in Toronto and appealed to the Bangladesh government to stop the violence and restore peace. In this program organized by Canadian Hindu Volunteers outside the Bangladesh Consulate, people from different areas called for global intervention against this violence.

'Hindus will disappear from Bangladesh too'

The protesters accused the head of the interim government of Bangladesh, Chief Advisor Mohammad Yunus, of spreading widespread violence and discrimination against Hindus. Those involved in the protest expressed their anger over the atrocities on Hindus in Bangladesh, vandalism of Hindu temples, brutal murders of temple priests and unjust imprisonment of Hindu leaders. According to news agency ANI, the protesters said, "We have disappeared from Afghanistan-Pakistan. If we do not survive now, we will disappear from Bangladesh as well."

'Conspiracy to wipe out Hindu culture from Bangladesh'

The protesters have also claimed that Hindu people in Bangladesh are being systematically removed from their jobs, their families are being looted and women are facing sexual violence. According to the report of news agency IANS, the protesters said that all this is being done in a planned manner to erase Hindu culture, faith and identity from Bangladesh.

'Global communities must take action'

Canadian Hindu volunteers wrote on their social media handle that the silence of the international community is shocking. The post said, "This is not just a crisis, it is an organized and deliberate attack on human rights and religious freedom. The global community must act now, before it is too late."

Those leading the Darshan stressed the dire need for action and urged Canadians to put pressure on their elected officials to raise the issue in Parliament and seek diplomatic measures against the Bangladeshi regime.
