When the Foreign Minister became silent on the question of PM Modi

The Foreign Minister said, "In 2014, PM Modi had asked me to explain to him why our relations with Australia did not develop? Everything is going well between the two countries. I did not have an answer to this question that day. This is because I had not thought about it myself."

He said this in the presence of about 1,25,000 Indian immigrants in Queensland. He said that 75 percent of India's exports to Australia come from Brisbane. India has named Australia as a comprehensive strategic partner. Only a few countries have received this privilege. Both countries are members of the Quad.

Jaishankar further said that I feel that the better relations that exist between the two countries today did not happen on their own. People from both sides have tried to improve the relations.
