America's newly elected President Donald Trump will take oath on January 20. This will be Trump's second term as President. Donald Trump has been vocal about some issues from the very beginning. One of these issues is that of WHO.

Trump has on several occasions called the World Health Organization (WHO) a puppet of China. During the Corona period, he had alleged that the WHO did not criticize China even once for this. In such a situation, it is being speculated that Trump may announce his separation from WHO on the very first day of starting his second term.

Trump's team is preparing

Lawrence Gostin, a global health professor at Georgetown University in Washington, said that Trump's transition team is preparing for this. He said, 'Donald Trump can decide to separate from WHO on the first day of his second term or within a few days.'

However, neither Trump nor his transition team has commented on this issue so far. If the US separates from WHO, it will be a big change for its global health policy.

The health minister is anti-vaccine

Donald Trump is facing a lot of criticism regarding the new team he has formed. Trump has appointed Robert Kennedy Jr. as the Health Minister. Robert Kennedy is considered to be anti-vaccine. He says that vaccines cause many problems in the body.

Attempts were made earlier also

This is not the first time that the discussion of America separating from WHO has started. Earlier in 2020 also, when Donald Trump was the President of America, he had decided to separate from the World Health Organization.

The process for this was also started then. But after 6 months, Biden came to power and overturned his decision. Now Trump is going to take power again, so he can announce it again.

Called WHO a puppet of China

Donald Trump had earlier called WHO a puppet of China. He had said that the health organization did not hold China responsible for Covid-19. America's decision to separate from the World Health Organization will also affect global preparations to deal with future health disasters.
