“It will walk among you,” Musk said at the event, describing Optimus. He elaborated on the robot’s capabilities, claiming it can walk your dog, babysit the kids, mow the lawn, and a variety of other tasks typically reserved for someone with opposable thumbs.

How much does the robot cost?

Musk estimates that Optimus will cost between $20,000 and $30,000. He added, 'I believe it will be the most important product ever made. I think every one of the 8 billion people on Earth would want an Optimus friend.'
