Uttarkashi Masjid Controversy: Police has taken strict action regarding stone pelting and clashes in the rally called by Hindu organizations regarding the mosque dispute in Uttarkashi. Uttarkashi police has registered a case against 8 named and 200 unknown people in this case. The names of all these people have also come to light. A case has been registered against all of them under serious sections.   

In connection with the clash in Uttarkashi, the police have imposed Section 109 of the BNS for attempted murder and Section 121 (2) for hurting a government employee against Jitendra Chauhan, Sonu Negi, Suraj Dabral, Kulbir Rana, Sushil Sharma, Gautam Rawat, Alok Rawat and Satendra Parmar. 14 sections of the Indian Penal Code have been imposed on the miscreants. Apart from these, a case has been registered against two hundred unknown people.

Section 163 imposed in the area after the clash
In fact, there is tension in the entire area after the public anger rally by a Hindu organization on Thursday demanding the removal of a mosque allegedly built on government land in Uttarkashi. In view of which the administration has imposed prohibitory orders in the district. Uttarkashi District Magistrate Meherban Singh Bisht has imposed prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the Indian Penal Code, under which gathering of five or more people, demonstrations and processions have been banned. However, the atmosphere is peaceful on Saturday, the third day of this incident. The police also conducted a flag march on Friday evening and Saturday morning. 

Uttarkashi Superintendent of Police Amit Srivastava said here that conditional permission was given for the rally to be taken out by the United Sanatan Dharma Rakshak Sangh, but the protesters insisted on going on another route and tried to remove the barricades. He said that during this time some of the protesters started pelting stones, after which the police had to use mild force to disperse them from there.

Policemen also got injured in the clash.
Shrivastava said that a total of eight policemen were injured during this, including Inspector Ashutosh Singh and Havildar Anil Kumar who were seriously injured. He said that some protesters were also injured in this. Shrivastava said that there is complete peace in the district. He also appealed to the public to cooperate in maintaining peace.

Uttarkashi District Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr Prem Pokhriyal said on Thursday that 20 protesters including two women were admitted to the hospital, most of whom were discharged in the evening. Uttarkashi Kotwali in-charge Inspector Amarjeet Singh said that the police have registered a case against eight named and 200 unknown people in connection with the ruckus during the rally.
