This virus can infect both humans and animals. Usually, it causes only mild illness like cold and cough, but in some cases it can also cause serious infections like pneumonia and difficulty in breathing.

 

How does this virus spread?

He told that the HKU1 virus spreads only when the infected person coughs or sneezes (Cold and cough warning signs). This virus spreads rapidly in the air when coughing. When you come in contact with contaminated surfaces, you can get infected with the virus. This is just like corona. However, small children, the elderly and people with weak immunity (such as patients suffering from diabetes, cancer or lung disease) may be at greater risk from this infection.
