South's lady superstar Nayanthara is known for her acting as well as her outspoken style. The actress is currently in the limelight for one of her documentaries. Netflix documentary 'Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale' based on the actress' life and career is going to be released soon. The trailer of the film was released recently.

 

The makers have used the music of the Tamil film 'Naanum Rowdy Dhaan' in the trailer, after which their troubles have increased. In fact, South superstar Dhanush has sent a legal notice on this documentary by filing a copyright case of 10 crores.

 

Nayanthara wrote an open letter for Dhanush

Nayanthara has given her reaction on the Dhanush case through an open letter. The actress has shared a post on her social media account, in which she is seen getting angry at Dhanush. In the letter, Nayanthara told how she has prepared the documentary along with her team amidst all the difficulties.

 

The actress said that she had been asking permission from Dhanush for a long time to use the songs and lyrics of 'Naanum Rowdy Dhaan' but the team of Dhanush refused to do so. She further said that she received a legal notice from Dhanush's team for using three seconds of the song and visuals of 'Naanum Rowdy Dhaan' in the trailer of the documentary, which was quite shocking for her.

 

Dhanush had sent a legal notice of 10 crores

The actress further wrote in her open letter, 'We were shocked to read the lines where you questioned the use of some videos. Those videos were shot on our personal devices, which have already been shared among the public on social media.

 

You demanded 10 crores for a 3 second video. This is the lowest thing you have ever done and it shows what kind of character you have. I wish you were the person you portray on stage. You don't follow what you say. At least not for me and my partner.

 

The team was trying for two years

In her letter, Nayanthara has also claimed that for the last two years, she and her team were trying to get an NOC from Dhanush for their documentary. After not getting a response from Dhanush, they dropped the matter. They got the documentary edited again and decided to release a new version. Let us tell you that the documentary film made on Nayanthara's life is going to stream on Netflix on November 18.
