Delhi Crime News: The Cyber Cell team of the Crime Branch of Delhi Police has succeeded in arresting a proclaimed offender who was absconding in a serious rape case after two years. The accused Mukesh (55), resident of Secunderabad, Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh was caught by the Delhi Police team after a lot of hard work.
Mukesh was declared a criminal by the court in the year 2023. He was continuously absconding since then and was changing his hideout frequently to avoid arrest.
Success achieved through secret information:
In March 2025, the cyber cell team of Crime Branch, Daryaganj received secret information that the accused Mukesh was hiding in the Secunderabad area of Bulandshahr district of UP. On receiving the information, a special team was formed under the leadership of Inspector Arvind Kumar under the supervision of ACP Pawan Kumar, which included ASI Sandeep Tyagi, Head Constable Gagandeep and Mohit Kumar.
The team immediately reached the spot and traced the location of the accused through technical surveillance and manual intelligence. After several days of surveillance and operation, Mukesh was arrested from his hideout.
This is how Mukesh hatched the conspiracy
During interrogation, Mukesh told that in the year 2022, he befriended a woman and lured her with a job. After this, he raped the woman. A case was registered at Jetpur police station on the complaint of the victim. After the matter reached the court, his anticipatory bail was rejected and he was declared a criminal by the court. He changed his hideout several times, yet could not escape the clutches of the police.
According to police officials, Mukesh kept changing his location frequently to avoid arrest and was constantly hiding in different cities and villages. But due to the technical investigation and surveillance of the cyber cell, he finally came under the clutches of the law.
