The bail plea of ​​Baramulla MP Rashid Engineer was heard in the Delhi High Court. While hearing, Justice Vikas Mahajan asked the Additional Sessions Judge of Patiala House Court to dispose of the bail plea soon. Actually, MP Rashid Engineer is lodged in Tihar Jail. He has knocked the door of the High Court in the hope of relief. Rashid Engineer is accused of providing funds for terrorist activities.

In 2024, the Patiala House Court had granted interim bail to Rashid Engineer to contest and campaign for the Lok Sabha elections. The Delhi High Court has asked the NIA court to hear Rashid Engineer's bail plea in the terror funding case soon. The petitioner said that the NIA court considering the bail plea has left him in limbo after he became a Member of Parliament. He said that there is no way to get relief.
