Sambhal Violence: On Tuesday, the third day of violence that broke out during a survey at the disputed Jama Masjid premises in Sambhal district on Sunday, the situation improved and schools were opened. Meanwhile, late in the evening, Sambhal DM Rajendra Pensia has taken a big decision. He has now ordered petrol pumps in the district to ban the open sale of petrol and diesel.

The DM has ordered to stop the sale of diesel and petrol in open containers, cans and bottles. Actually, there is a possibility of increase in the sale of open petrol and diesel during the violence. In such a situation, keeping in view the sensitivity in the district, the District Magistrate has given this order. During the survey of Jama Masjid in Sambhal on Sunday, the situation worsened and four people died in the incident of stone pelting and arson.

Internet shutdown on Tuesday
Around 20 people were also injured in this incident. Police arrested 25 people in this connection on Monday and during this time the markets were closed, although shops were seen open in many areas. The situation seemed to be normal on Tuesday morning. Internet service remained shut in Sambhal district on Tuesday as well, due to which people had to face a lot of problems.

Moradabad division commissioner Anjaneya Kumar Singh said on Tuesday, "The situation in Sambhal is normal and shops are open. Some shops are closed in the area where violence broke out but shops remained open in other places and there was no tension anywhere." Singh said, “Security forces are deployed and the situation is under control. Daily routine is moving towards normalcy.”

Regarding legal action on the violence, the commissioner said that the police is engaged in collecting evidence, several FIRs have been registered and more may be registered in future
