Rajasthan News: Rajasthan's Sanchore police has taken major action in a 6-year-old case. Police has arrested a head constable and a constable. It is alleged that both the policemen had implicated Gujarat Congress leader Sendhabhai Thakur under the NDPS Act.

With the intervention of the then Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, a high level investigation was conducted into the matter. The investigation revealed that Head Constable Bhanwar Singh and Constable Mithalal Meena had illegally arrested the Congress leader by falsely accusing him of smuggling.

Action was taken after the conspiracy of both the policemen was exposed. Head constable Bhanwar Singh posted in the police control room and constable Mithalal posted in Bagoda police station were arrested on the instructions of SP Gyanchand Yadav. Now both the policemen will be questioned. According to sources, head constable Bhanwar Singh and constable Mithalal were called to Sanchore on Wednesday. Both the policemen did not know that they would be arrested in the 2019 case.

Two policemen will be questioned

After arresting both the accused, the police presented them in the court. The court handed over both of them on 5-day police remand. Now the police will question both of them. It is said that the value of Sendha Bhai Thakur's brother-in-law's land is about 150 crore rupees. Property dealers were planning to grab the land. Sendha Bhai started creating obstacles in between. A conspiracy was hatched to get the Congress leader arrested in poppy smuggling case with the help of Sanchore police.

6 year old case exposed

A deal of Rs 50 lakh was struck to trap him. After the deal was finalised, Head Constable Bhanwar Singh and Mithalal arrested Sendha bhai in an NDPS case. The then Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot intervened in the arrest of the Gujarat Congress leader. He ordered a high-level inquiry. Additional SP Avaddan Ratanu said that the NDPS Act case is 6 years old. Allegedly poppy husk was recovered.

Investigation revealed that the builders had colluded with the police to get the Congress leader arrested. Both have been arrested after call details and other evidence were found. The mediator from Gujarat has also been arrested. After the hearing, the court handed over both of them on police remand. The SP suspended both the policemen. The Additional SP said that both the policemen have been suspended on the orders of the SP. It is said that Sendha Bhai Thakur had also contested the Lok Sabha elections as a Samajwadi Party candidate against Lal Krishna Advani from Gandhinagar .
