75 Pairs Special Trains Will Run In Chhath: Preparations for Diwali and Chhath, which are among the major festivals of North India, are going on in full swing. During this time, the use of railways increases a lot when people go to their homes. Therefore, the Railway Division is also making special preparations to control the crowd on Diwali and Chhath. The Railway Division administration has made preparations to control the possible crowd on Diwali and Chhath in Bihar.

Preparations for Samastipur Railway Division begin

Due to the presence of Chhath Ghat at more than 100 places along the railway line in the railway division, on the day of Arghya, trains will be run on caution at a speed of 30 kilometers on all railway sections of the railway division. For this, instructions have been issued to all station masters, train guards and drivers. Along with this, the drivers of the train have been asked to run the train by blowing the whistle continuously in the area where there is Chhath Ghat along the railway line.

DRM Vinay Srivastava informed IANS that about 75 pairs of special trains will be run. Additional PRS ticket counters will be opened as per the requirement at Samastipur, Darbhanga, Saharsa where there is a possibility of a large crowd of passengers for reservation. Currently there is a proposal to open three additional counters, which can be increased further as per the need.

DRM said that apart from this, additional booking counters are being opened at Raxaul, Bapudham Motihari, Bettiah, Sitamarhi, Darbhanga, Samastipur, Jaynagar, Saharsa, Banmankhi and Purnia Court stations of the railway division. Additional UTS counters will be opened in Samastipur, Darbhanga, Saharsa, Jaynagar Sitamarhi, Bapudham Motihari Bettiah, Raxaul and Narkatiaganj.

Officers from various departments will be appointed at 11 stations of the railway division, who will keep an eye on crowd control and monitor it 24 hours a day. Banners about special trains have been displayed around the booking and enquiry and PRS counters, from where passengers can get complete information about alternative trains. A war room will be opened in the control room of the division, where there will be officers and supervisors from all departments who will keep an eye on the arrangements being made at every station and will give instructions as per the need.

The designated platforms of trains will not be changed at the last minute

DRM said that under no circumstances will the designated platforms of trains be changed at the last moment. If there is a need to change the platform in an emergency, it will be done one hour in advance or with sufficient time. Passengers will be continuously informed through the announcement system. The platform will not be changed without the approval of ADRM.
