When is Kharna celebrated? (kab hai Kharna)
Kharna is celebrated every year on the fifth day of Shukla Paksha of Kartik month. Puja is performed in the evening on this day. Arghya is offered to the setting sun the next day. Whereas, Chhath Puja concludes with offering Arghya to the rising Sun God on the seventh day of Shukla Paksha of Kartik month.

According to the Vedic calendar, the Panchami date of Shukla Paksha of Kartik month is till 12:41 pm on 07 November. The fasting person can worship Chhathi Maiya after taking bath and meditation after sunset in the evening.
