He said that an attempt should be made to know the answer to this topic from Mahadev. After this, all the gods reached Shiva ji. After listening to all the gods and goddesses, Mahadev said that all of you should ride on your vehicles and circumambulate the universe.

The one who comes back first after circling the universe will get Vijayshree and will be worshipped first. After this, all the gods and goddesses set out for the circumambulation on their vehicles. Ganesh ji was also involved in this race, but he did not circumambulate the universe.  

In return, Ganesh ji circumambulated Mahadev and Maa Parvati and bowed to them. When a deity returned after circumambulating the universe, Mahadev declared Lord Ganesh the winner and said that there is no one greater than mother and father in life. When you circumambulate your mother and father, you do not need any circumambulation. From today onwards, Lord Ganesha will be worshipped first. Since then, Ganpati Bappa is worshipped first.
