During an election program in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath lashed out at Congress. CM Yogi said on Friday, that Congress wants to give minorities the right to eat beef and this is tantamount to permitting cow slaughter.
According to the news agency, he said, 'These shameless people promise the right to eat beef, while in our scriptures the cow is called mother, they want to hand over the cows to butchers, will India ever accept this?'
The Chief Minister said he wanted to give freedom to minorities to eat the food of their choice, "which means he is talking about allowing cow slaughter". Adityanath was addressing an election rally in Bilari in support of a BJP candidate from the Sambhal Lok Sabha seat, Parmeshwar Lal Saini.
Reiterating Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent speeches, the CM alleged that the Congress intends to confiscate 'Stridhan' (women's property) and distribute it among the Rohingyas and Bangladeshi infiltrators. He claimed that Congress has talked about X-ray of people's property in its manifesto.
He said, 'This means that if someone has four rooms in his house, they will snatch two of them, not only this, Congress will take possession of women's jewellery, the country will never accept this.'
CM Yogi said, 'They had made such efforts from 2004 to 2014 under the UPA government, 'They had tried to give quota to Muslims out of the reservation given to SC, ST and OBC in Karnataka.' The UP CM alleged that he referred to the recommendations of the Sachar Committee and said that the Congress wanted to implement it by giving them six percent reservation out of the quota for SC, ST and OBC.
Accusing Congress of double standards, CM Yogi claimed that former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had said that Muslims have the first right on the country's resources. The UP Chief Minister also alleged that Congress is conspiring to further divide the country.
