Anupshahr.  On Sunday, DM inspected the Ganga bridge and ghats in Anupshahr after the water level of Ganga increased. Officers were instructed to do patrolling for regular monitoring of the water level of Ganga. Also, information was taken about the arrangements from the devotees at the Ganga Ghat.

DM Chandraprakash Singh inspected the Aunpshahr Ganga bridge and other ghats including Baba Mastram Ghat on Sunday and got information about the water level of the Ganga. After getting information about the flood prone villages, the DM told the officers that regular patrolling should be done in the flood prone villages.

DM Chandraprakash Singh said that animals should not be allowed to go towards water in case of flood, in case of any danger, villagers should be taken to a safe place, and the flood control room should be kept in working condition. SDM Naveen Kumar Singh, Tehsildar Balendu Bhushan Verma and other officers were present during the inspection.

Water released from these barrages

An increase in the water level has been recorded due to rain in the hilly and plain areas and the water released from Haridwar and Bijnor barrages. Tar Babu Devesh Kumar of the Irrigation Department Narora Headworks said that on Sunday evening at 5 pm, the availability of 1,04,113 cusecs of water was recorded in the upstream of the barrage.
