New Delhi: Famous fashion designer Rohit Bal died of a heart attack on November 1. He was 63 years old and was ill for a long time. Bal is considered to be one of the first few fashion designers of India who popularized fashion designing as a practical and glamorous profession in the country.

My health had deteriorated earlier too

Rohit was last seen on the ramp in October 2024 at the grand finale of Lakme Fashion Week. Here Ananya Pandey walked the ramp for him. Bal returned to the runway after almost a year of ill health. Here he presented his collection "Kainaat: A Bloom in the Universe". Bal was not well for a long time. In the year 2023, he was admitted to Medanta Hospital in Delhi due to heart disease. A few weeks after being admitted to the hospital, Bal wrote a post thanking everyone for their wishes for his speedy recovery.
