Azamgarh News Today: Azamgarh police has taken major action in the case of smuggling of fake notes. Police has arrested three persons for smuggling fake notes. Police has recovered one lakh fake notes of 100 rupees each from the accused, apart from this, police has recovered several mobile phones from them.

The case is from Phoolpur Kotwali police station area of ​​Azamgarh district. The accused were planning to use the fake notes in the Kartik Purnima fair held in Phoolpur. One of the arrested accused is from Phoolpur and two are residents of Lucknow district.

Acting on the information of the informer,
Superintendent of Police Hemraj Meena said that on Monday, Phulpur police station in-charge Shashichand Chaudhary was present near the roadways town Phulpur with his team. Meanwhile, he received information that three accused, who deal in fake notes, are standing near Durvasa Gate Sadarpur Barauli village. 

SP Hemraj Meena said that the three people arrested by the police include Hasmat, a resident of Bhava Kheda village in the Rahimabad police station area of ​​Lucknow district and Mahendra Kumar Yadav, a resident of the Para police station area. Apart from this, Mohammad Nasir of the Phulpur Kotwali area is also one of the accused.

Police recovered one lakh fake notes from the possession of the accused, who along with Shoaib and Furkan, run the business of fake notes. During interrogation, the arrested accused told that the notes recovered from them are fake.

During interrogation, the accused told that all three of us together used to do the business of fake notes with Mohammad Shoaib, a resident of Sandila police station area of ​​Hardoi district and Furkan, a resident of Takiya Rahimabad of Lucknow district. 

Both the masterminds are in jail. 
Earlier, Mohammad Shoaib and Furkan were caught on 17 October 2024 by the Auras district police station of Unnao with fake notes and a fake note making machine. Both the accused are currently in jail. After both of them went to jail, these three together work to circulate fake notes in different districts.
