Bhupesh Baghel On Amit Shah: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday (April 5) attended the closing ceremony of the 'Bastar Pandum' festival organized by the state government in Dantewada city of Chhattisgarh. During this, he said that earlier he was stopped from holding a rally in Dantewada by the CM. Now former Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Bhupesh Baghel has retaliated on this.
Former CM Bhupesh Baghel said, “Respected Home Minister, which Chief Minister are you talking about? Don't just throw anything in the air, you should tell the name. If Dr. Raman Singh ji used to say this to you, then you are accepting the fact that Naxalism has flourished in Chhattisgarh during the BJP government in the last one and a half decade. The attack on Naxalism started in our government only. Because during the Congress government, you were visiting Bastar and our government never stopped you from going there.”
'Should apologize to the country'
He further said, "How can those who have taken up arms be 'Naxalite' brothers? Calling the cowards who shed the blood of countless people, martyred our soldiers, 'brother' by you is an insult to our brave soldiers, the people of Chhattisgarh and the country. 'Naxalite' and 'brother' cannot be both together. As long as there is no faith in democracy, constitution, and there are weapons in hands, they are just Naxalites. No 'Naxalite' can be a brother before surrendering. You should apologize to the country for this statement of yours."
What did Amit Shah say?
While addressing the rally, Amit Shah said, "I had come here earlier also to hold meetings, but I was stopped. The Chief Minister used to say that you should not go, but today Ramnavami and Ashtami are being celebrated openly with 50 thousand tribal brothers and sisters."
