In the case of a woman burning her husband's body with a cigarette while sitting on his chest in Bijnor, UP, the victim has lodged an FIR against the wife at the police station. Acting on the husband's complaint, the police have arrested the accused woman. The CCTV footage of the woman burning her husband also went viral on social media.

Now the revelations made by the husband of this woman named Mehar Jahan are very shocking. The victim's husband Manan Zaidi said that his addiction to beer, biryani, cigarettes and gutkha has made his wife violent. 

The husband told the whole story

According to local media reports, the husband said that when the demand for these things was not met, Mehar used to often attack him and also threatened to trap him. The victim's husband Manan Zaidi said that he had a love marriage with Mehar Jahan after the Panchayat, but as soon as the marriage took place, her nature changed and she started attacking him in an inebriated state. 

Now on the complaint of her husband, Seohara police have arrested Mehar Jahan. Her husband Manan Zaidi alleged that Mehar first drugged him and then tied his hands and legs and burnt his body parts with a burning cigarette.

CCTV footage of burning cigarette goes viral

The husband provided the police with CCTV footage from inside the house, in which Mehar Jahan is seen physically attacking him, tying his hands and legs and trying to strangle him by sitting on his chest.

In the video, she can also be seen burning her husband's body parts with a burning cigarette. Manan Zaidi has claimed that he had earlier also filed a complaint with the police, in which he had accused his wife of torturing her by giving her intoxicants, tying her hands and legs and abusing her.

Police registered a case under several sections

Now the police have registered a case against Mehar Jahan under various sections of the IPC including attempt to murder, assault and torture and arrested her.

Superintendent of Police Dharampal Singh said, 'Based on the complaint, the police have registered a report against the accused woman under relevant sections and arrested her. Further action is being taken.
