(Andhra Pradesh). Two people lost their lives in a tragic accident in Bapatla district of Andhra Pradesh. In fact, two people drowned and two others went missing on Friday at Rampuram beach in the district. It is being told that the four youths had reached the beach to celebrate holidays. According to the police, the bodies of two youths named Teja (21) and Kishore (22) have been found, while Nitin (22) and Amul Raju (23) are missing.

The youth was a resident of Eluru district

Chirala Deputy Superintendent of Police Prasad said that all the youths were residents of Pedavegi village in Eluru district. Four youths from Pedavegi village had reached Rampuram beach in Bapatla district to celebrate holidays. While bathing in the sea, four of them went into deep water. The bodies of two of them have been recovered, while two others are being searched.

Bapatla became a district in 2022

The Andhra Pradesh government divided Guntur district into three districts on 26 January 2022. Of these, Bapatla district was formed by combining 12 mandals of Tenali division and 13 mandals of Prakasam district. The district is bordered by Guntur in the north, the Bay of Bengal in the south. It borders Palnadu/Narsaraopet and Prakasam districts in the west. The western delta of the Krishna River lies in the east.
