Khaleda Zia has been the Prime Minister of Bangladesh thrice. She is also the head of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party. When she was leaving from Hazral Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka, many party leaders were present there.

Khalida has many diseases

Khaleda Zia is currently suffering from liver cirrhosis, heart disease and kidney problems. Bangladesh is currently facing political uncertainty. Sheikh Hasina and Khaleda Zia are the two most influential leaders of Bangladesh.

After the students' revolt, Sheikh Hasina has already left the country and taken refuge in India. Now Khaleda Zia has also gone to London. Elections are to be held in Bangladesh in a few months. In such a situation, there is uncertainty about what will be the political future of both the parties.

Khalida acquitted in one case

Nobel Prize winner Muhammad Yunus, who is running the interim government in Bangladesh, is considering holding elections at the end of this year or early next year. During Sheikh Hasina's tenure, Khaleda Zia was sentenced to 17 years in prison.

He was convicted of involvement in two corruption cases while he was the Prime Minister. However, his supporters say that these cases were politically motivated. But as soon as Mohammad Yunus came to power, he was acquitted in one case, while the hearing of the other case took place on Tuesday.

The Emir of Qatar sent an air ambulance

  • Khaleda Zia had got bail during Sheikh Hasina's tenure and she was undergoing treatment in Bangladesh. Despite repeated requests, Sheikh Hasina's government did not allow her to get treatment abroad.
  • Yesterday, Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani had sent a special air ambulance for Khaleda Zia. Thousands of supporters had gathered outside Zia's residence in Gulshan area.
  • Due to this, it took more than 3 hours for Khaleda Zia's convoy to cover the 10 km journey to the airport. Her journey from the residence to the airport was broadcasted live on TV.
