Maha Kumbh 2025 Prayagraj: During the Maha Kumbh being held in Prayagraj, a massive fire broke out in the camp of Geeta Press in Sector 19 on Sunday. The matter has not yet settled down and the next day today, Monday, a fire broke out in Sector 16 again, creating a stir. This fire broke out in the camp of Shri Hari Divya Sadhna Peeth, Pratapgarh in front of Kinnar Akhara. The local people extinguished it by pouring water and sand.
Giving information about this, an officer of the fire department said that the personnel posted on the tower under the fire station Anna Kshetra saw smoke rising in front of the Kinnar Akhara at 9.30 am, after which the control room was immediately informed about it. There was a commotion as soon as the information about the fire was received. He said that as soon as the news was received, the fire vehicle roaming in the area was immediately sent to the spot.

The officer said that a fire broke out on Shri Hari Divya Sadhna Peeth Pratapgarh Sangam Lower Road which was extinguished by the people present there with sand and water. He said that during inspection it was found that a tent was on fire and there was no loss of life. The people present nearby had already controlled the fire in time.
It is noteworthy that on Sunday, a fire in straw spread rapidly in a camp in Sector 19 and about 18 camps were reduced to ashes. However, the fire brigade personnel completely controlled the fire and there was no loss of life. About 15-16 vehicles were deployed to extinguish the fire in this camp set up for Kalpvasis by Geeta Press and All India Dharma Sangh. After this incident, CM Yogi has given necessary instructions to the concerned departments to take precautions to avoid fire incidents in the fair area.
