Siddharthnagar Rape Case: On the night of August 29, a case has come to light in which a woman from Gonhatal of Bansi Kotwali area of Siddharthnagar district was molested in an ambulance on NH 28 in Basti district's cantonment police station area and the ambulance workers removed the oxygen of her husband and threw him out. The victim woman filed a complaint against the ambulance drivers on November 1 in Lucknow's Ghazipur police station regarding what happened to her. On the basis of the complaint, Lucknow police has registered a case against the ambulance driver. After this incident came to light, Basti police has also started investigating.
The victim alleged that the ambulance workers removed the oxygen from her husband near Basti and threw him out, after which she informed on Dial 112. Police reached the spot and the woman's husband was admitted to CHC Harraiya, from where he was referred to Gorakhpur Medical College. The victim's husband died during treatment there.
The victim reached Basti Medical College with her sick husband
Regarding the incident, the victim told that her husband Harish was ill for a few days, due to which she went to Basti Medical College, where his condition worsened and he was referred to Lucknow. Due to no vacant seat in Lucknow Medical College, she admitted her husband to Imperia Neuroscience Multi Specialist Hospital for treatment. Due to high cost of treatment, after 2 days of treatment, she requested to discharge her husband from there and someone in the hospital provided her the number of a private ambulance. She left for her home in Gonhatal village of Siddharthnagar in the ambulance.
Attempt to rape a woman in a moving ambulance
The victim woman said that after travelling some distance on the way, the ambulance driver forced her to sit on the front seat of the ambulance and made her sit on the front seat by saying that the police was checking. The woman said that on the way, the ambulance driver and his companion kept molesting her, which she constantly opposed and tried to scream. Meanwhile, after travelling a distance of about 150 km, a little before reaching Basti, these people threw her husband at a deserted place, due to which her sick husband got hurt and his health started deteriorating due to the removal of oxygen.
The victim's husband was referred from Basti Medical College
The woman said that she and her brother immediately called 112 and informed the police about the incident. The police called an ambulance and sent her husband to Basti Medical College after seeing his critical condition, from where he was referred to Gorakhpur Medical College and her husband died in Gorakhpur Medical College.
Police is investigating the allegations
Now Basti SP Gopal Chaudhary's statement has come out on this entire incident. SP Basti said that the private ambulance drivers told about the indecent behaviour with the woman that on the night of 29 August, Anoop Sahni was coming from Lucknow to Siddharthnagar with his sister and brother-in-law. He was undergoing treatment in a private hospital in Lucknow, when the ambulance reached the Cantonment police station area, some dispute took place, after which the ambulance driver dropped him. He informed the police. Immediately the police reached and he was admitted to Harraiya CHC, from where he did not tell about any such incident on the spot nor was such a thing mentioned in the black record of PRB. When he was taken to the hospital, the doctors also did not tell anything about any such incident. Other allegations made by him are being investigated.
