MP Cyber Crime News: These days, many cases of digital arrest are coming to light in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Sometimes posing as fake police, sometimes as CBI officers or RBI officers, they threaten people through video calls and swindle lakhs of rupees from them. Dozens of complaints have been registered in the Crime Branch, but on Sunday (24 November), such an incident happened that fake policemen tried to digitally arrest real police and then the miscreants were shocked to see the real uniform.
Actually this incident happened on Sunday at 2:00 pm, when Indore's Additional DCP Rajesh Dandotia was holding a press conference. During this time he received a call from an unknown number. When he picked up the call, the caller was a customer care officer of some bank and was saying that he had got a credit card made in Mumbai, which had a balance of more than Rs 100000 and it was being misused somewhere.
First became a customer call center officer and created pressure
Police officer Dandotiya said that no such credit card has been made by him. He was pressured by the customer call center officer to accept it or else this complaint will be transferred to Mumbai Police. After a lot of talk, the complaint was transferred to Mumbai Police.
Police officer Dandotiya received a video call
For some time, Rajesh Dandotia was pressurised by claiming to be a Crime Branch officer and was told to reach Mumbai within 2 hours or else legal action would be taken against him or else he should get his statement recorded on a video call. When Dandotia received a video call, Dandotia himself was sitting in police uniform and the person on the other end was introducing himself as Mumbai Police Commissioner.
When Dandotia said that I am a police officer myself. When asked why he has called so many media, he said that the way you people are cheating the common man, you will not be able to do it anymore. This entire video has been recorded for the awareness of the common people and now it will reach everyone.
Fake police commissioner disconnected the phone after seeing the real uniform
During this, the fake police commissioner sitting on the video call disconnected the call. Police officer Dandotiya said that it is important for this message to reach the common people. Many people are falling prey to the fraud of these criminals and are losing lakhs of rupees.
