New Delhi: American-Canadian actor Matthew Perry was a familiar face for cinema lovers around the world. He earned a lot of fame through the popular TV show 'Friends'. He was recognized as Chandler Bing in the NBC television series Friends (1994-2004). He died on October 28 last year at the age of 54. Now his house has got a new buyer. It has been bought by Indian-origin Anita Verma Lalian for 8.5 million dollars. In rupees, it is 71 crores.

Who is Anita Verma Lalian?

Anita Verma is a real estate consultant and owner of the film production company 'Camelback Productions'. She is also famous as a real estate advisor in Arizona. Anita's parents and sister are also involved in the estate business. They also run a company, 'Vermaland'. Anita has done MBA from the University of Southern California. She is considered a supporter of Democratic candidate Kamala Harris in the US presidential election.

Anita Verma has shared her photos on social media in a villa in Los Angeles. Perry was found dead in a hot tub in this villa. Anita Verma says that we have decided to honor the positive aspects of Matthew Perry's life and his talent. She further said- "I am a Hindu. In our culture, when we buy a new house, we take blessings and pray. Our Panditji from Arizona came home to give blessings, we consider it our good fortune."

Anita helps the students

Anita Varma, along with her sister Jennifer, founded the Varma Charitable Foundation. It was established with a real estate donation worth $1.2 million from the Varma Legacy Trust (a subsidiary of Vermaland). Its purpose is to help underprivileged students in India. Through this foundation, Anita and her family provide scholarships to 100 students in India.
