New Delhi: The cult film 'Sholay' released in 1975 is one of the best and most memorable films of Indian cinema. Directed by Ramesh Sippy, every character of this film is famous in every household. From the friendship of Jai-Veeru to the chemistry between Basanti and Dhanno, it was amazing.

Many great stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjeev Kapoor, Hema Malini and Dharmendra were part of this film. People remember every character of Sholay, but if any character echoes the most even today, it is 'Gabbar'. Amjad Khan played the character of Gabbar in the film.

His dialogues became so iconic that people have not forgotten them even today. But you might not know that Gabbar's terror in Sholay did not end only in Ramgarh village. 16 years after the release of Sholay, Amjad Khan played the role of Gabbar in another film, in which he did not even die. The impact that Amjad Khan's character in the film ' Sholay ' has left on people has not been erased till date. However, his terror was not limited to Hindi films only, but had reached Bhojpuri cinema as well. 'Sholay' was released in two different languages. 16 years after the Hindi release, a Bhojpuri version of the movie was also released. The title of the film in Bhojpuri was 'Ramgarh ke Sholay'. Ajit Dewani took over the direction of this film.

While someone else was seen in place of Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra in the Bhojpuri version, Amjad Khan played his role of Gabbar again on screen after 16 years. In this film, 'Gabbar' was seen speaking in Bhojpuri and Gabbar did not even have to die in the end in 'Ramgarh ke Sholay'. This film has not been completely copied from Sholay, rather the makers have tried to make the movie even more amazing with their Bhojpuri flavour.

These Bhojpuri stars replaced Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra

In 'Ramgarh Ke Sholay', Amitabh Bachchan's character of 'Vijay' was played by actor Vijay Saxena, who gained popularity more for his resemblance to Big B than his work. The twist in this Bhojpuri version was that characters who were not even in 'Sholay' were also a part of it.

Like Kishore Bhanushali played Dev Anand in the film, Anand Kumar played Anil Kapoor's role, Naveen Rathore played Govinda, actress Nargis played Gabbar's role.
