Aligarh News Today: The sanitation workers of Aligarh city united against privatization and protested vigorously outside the District Magistrate's office. During this, the employees expressed their displeasure by taking brooms in their hands and called the decision of privatization illegal.

The main reason for the protest of the sanitation workers is the government's decision to hand over the sanitation system to private companies. The sanitation workers are very angry with the plan to give contract to private companies for cleaning. They say that privatization will have a deep impact on their livelihood.

Employees say that privatization will put their lives in danger. Their jobs will be in danger and their daily income will be reduced. Employees clarified that they are worried about the financial condition of their families. They argue that if government systems are privatized, their family members may have to die of hunger.

Serious allegations against the government
The protesters appealed to the government to take their problems seriously and protect their rights. Billu Chauhan, president of the Safai Karamchari Sangh, said that injustice has been happening to the sanitation workers for a long time. He accused the Municipal Commissioner and the Municipal Mayor of trading the livelihood of the workers with private companies.

The workers involved in the protest said that they are already working on low wages and in difficult conditions. Their situation will worsen after privatization. They accused the government of ignoring the poor and laborers.

Protesters submitted memorandum
Aligarh's ACM Sanjay Mishra told the media that the sanitation workers have submitted the memorandum. He assured that their demands will be conveyed to the District Collector and appropriate action will be taken. The sanitation workers say that privatization is not only their problem but can be fatal for the entire city. He said that privatization can increase chaos in the sanitation system.

Employees warned of agitation
Safai Karamcharis have warned that if their demands are not met, they will launch a big agitation. According to Safai Karamcharis, this agitation will not be limited to Aligarh only but can spread to the entire state.
