She wrote in her Insta story that she had gone to the mall to watch the film but the theater was completely empty. Alia Bhatt really has a lot of courage. She bought the tickets herself and announced fake collections.

Now actor Bijou Thangjam, who was seen in the film Mary Kom, has made a shocking claim against Alia Bhatt starrer Jigra. Amidst Divya Khosla's claims of fake box office collection, North East actor Bijou has accused of discrimination. Bijou wrote on X that he had got confirmation about his casting in the film, he kept waiting for the Jigra team to call him but he did not get a call for shooting. Meanwhile, he turned down many other offers.

Actor accused of fraud

Bijou told that in 2023, she was approached by the casting team for a role. I sent my tapes twice in a period of four months. At the end of November, I was told that I would be shooting in December. But they never gave me any specific shooting date. Still, they booked me for the entire month of December, expecting that I would be ready to shoot with them at any time.”

He further added, "I was kept in the dark for the whole month and was not given any proper updates. The last message I got was on December 26 saying we are waiting for a response and there was no response after that. In the meanwhile I lost out on many other good projects. I am not writing this with any agenda or accusation. I just want to share the reality of how actors like me from the Northeast are often treated by big production houses. Hopefully, this will give us some insight into what we face."

Alia Bhatt has played the role of a protective sister in Jigra. Vedang Raina is seen playing the role of her brother. Alia is also the co-producer of this film.
