Flight code will change after the merger
According to Air India's ex post, Vistara's flight code will change after the merger. Now Vistara's flight code will start with the special 4 digits of Air India code. The first digit of this 4 digit will be '2'.
Air India gave an example and said that currently Vistara's code is 'UK 955', which will become AI 2955 after the merger. After the change of code, passengers will be able to easily identify the flight while booking.
Apart from this, Air India said in its statement that after the merger, the members of Club Vistara will be transferred to Air India's 'Flying Returns' program. At the same time, Vistara's 'Flying Returns' will also be transformed into a new avatar 'Maharaja Club'.
