• Wear clean clothes after taking bath on the day of Ahoi Ashtami .
• After offering water to the Sun God, take a vow to fast.
• Keep a waterless fast throughout the day.  
• Draw a picture of Ahoi Mata in a clean place in the evening.
• Light a lamp and perform worship in the auspicious time.  
• Offer flowers to Ahoi Mata.
• Recite the Vrat Katha and chant the mantras.  
• Now perform aarti.
• Wish for your child's successful life.  
• Offer puri, halwa, kheer, gulgula and sweets.
• When the stars appear at night, offer water and end the fast.  
• Charity must be done on this day.
