
Uttarakhand News- In the case of the murder of a youth by shooting in a bloody conflict in Haridwar's Pathri police station area, the police arrested the main accused Jatin Chaudhary along with his father, brother and four others within 36 hours. Two pistols and cartridges have been recovered from the accused. At the same time, investigation revealed that the main accused Jatin had also fired at the camp office of MLA Umesh Kumar in Roorkee a few days ago. The police have presented all the accused in the court and sent them to jail. Raids are being conducted in search of other absconding accused.
On Sunday night, a dispute between two parties near Ekkad railway station in Pathri area turned into a bloody clash. During this, Rajan, a resident of Bahadurpur Jat, died due to bullet injury. The deceased's brother Baburam alias Arun had given a complaint to the police, in which 13 people including the main accused Jatin Chaudhary, his brother Harsh Chaudhary were named. It was said in the complaint that there was a dispute over taking the bike forward, after which the accused abused Rajan using casteist words and attacked him.

The main accused Jatin Chaudhary fired a gun and shot Rajan in the thigh, due to which he died on the spot. After the incident, people were outraged. Angry family members and local people created a ruckus by placing the dead body and demanded the arrest of the accused. Police officials assured to arrest all the main accused within 36 hours, after which the body was cremated.
On the instructions of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Haridwar Pramod Singh Dobal, 10 teams were formed under the leadership of CO Laksar Natasha Singh. The police raided various places and arrested the main accused Jatin Chaudhary, his father Babbit Chaudhary, brother Harsh Chaudhary (resident of village Bahadurpur Jat), Harsh Mehta (Bahadurpur Housing Colony, Patna, Bihar), Aryan Tomar (Kankerkheda, Meerut, UP) and Harshit Rathi (Karhera, Thana Bhopa, Muzaffarnagar). The police recovered two pistols and cartridges from the accused. On Tuesday, all the accused were produced in the court, from where they were sent to jail in judicial custody.
