Kerala Chief Secretary  A rare change has been recorded in the bureaucratic history of Kerala. For the first time, the post of Chief Secretary has been assumed by the wife after the husband. Chief Minister P. Vijayan himself mentioned this during the farewell ceremony of outgoing Chief Secretary V Venu.

Sharada Muralidharan took over as Chief Secretary

V Venu retired on Saturday. Now after Venu, his wife Sharada Muralidharan has taken over the post of Chief Secretary of the state. Earlier she was on the post of Additional Chief Secretary. The Chief Minister also gave other such examples in the state at Venu's farewell ceremony.

CM gave another example

The CM said that earlier also the husband and wife had handed over the charge of the post of Collector to each other. On this rare change in the bureaucratic history of Kerala, Muralidharan, who became the Chief Secretary, said that this moment is very strange for her, because she has to bid farewell to her husband.

I never thought my husband would retire earlier

Muralidharan said that she and her husband worked together as civil servants for 34 years, but they never thought about the fact that they would never leave their service together. She said that now I am a little worried that I have to serve for eight months even after my husband's retirement.
