Tips to prevent fatty liver
- Take a healthy diet- Make fresh fruits, green vegetables, whole grains and high-fibre foods a part of your diet. Make sure to include omega-3 fatty acids, such as fish, walnuts, flaxseeds and antioxidants, such as berries, turmeric etc. in your diet.
- Do regular exercise- Do at least 30 minutes of physical activity every day, like walking, yoga or cycling.
- Control your weight- Reducing obesity reduces the fat deposited on the liver. Therefore, if you are overweight, then lose weight with the help of diet and exercise.
- Avoid alcohol and smoking- Alcohol and cigarettes cause serious damage to the liver, so stay away from them.
- Stay hydrated- Drinking plenty of water flushes out toxins from the body and keeps the liver healthy.
