Varanasi. The plan to run buses to remote rural areas deprived of public transport service has been approved. Transport Corporation buses will be operated on 76 such identified routes of Varanasi region. In the first phase, application for permit for operation of 25 buses has been made.

There are some areas under Varanasi region where one has to travel five to ten kilometres to catch a bus. As per the intention of the government, a list of such routes of the state is being prepared where the traffic system can be made smooth.

Apart from this, there are other routes where roadways services are already being provided. If required, the number of buses can be increased on the approved routes through contracting policy. At present, buses of the Transport Corporation will be operated.

Regional Manager Gaurav Verma said that there is a plan to connect 76 routes of rural areas with transport service. Currently, applications are being made for permits of 25 buses.

-Robertsganj-Mirzapur

-Robertsganj-Markandi- Salkhan-Duddhi-Vindhyamganj

-Jaunpur- Mirzapur- Vindhyachal

- Jaunpur-Bhadohi-Gyanpur-Dhantulsi

-Jaunpur to Mirzapur via Bhadohi

-Varanasi to Mirzapur via Manda

-From Varanasi to Dhantulsi via Gopiganj

-Varanasi-Mirzapur Vindhyachal

-Varanasi-Mirzapur via Aurai

-Varanasi to Shahganj via Jaunpur
