News Topical, Digital Desk : International tensions between Iran, the United States, and Israel are disrupting the supply of petroleum products, directly impacting the industries operated by the Gorakhpur Industrial Development Authority (GIDA). A shortage of diesel and LPG cylinders is posing a serious threat to the operations of many units.

GIDA's 50 industries require approximately 44,000 liters of diesel and around 1,800 commercial cylinders each month. Additionally, there's a demand for 711 small (five-kilogram) cylinders for factory workers. Considering the current needs of the industries, the Chamber of Industries has submitted a detailed list to the GIDA administration.

In fact, one pasta and jam manufacturing unit alone requires more than 500 commercial cylinders each month, highlighting the severity of the crisis. Many other industries are facing similar challenges.

In this context, last Sunday, the District Magistrate held a meeting with industrial organizations and assured them of resolving their problems. All organizations were also instructed to provide details of their demand for diesel, commercial, and small cylinders, based on the actual needs of their industries. In this sequence, entrepreneurs submitted their units' requirements to the Chamber of Industries, which has been compiled and sent to the GIDA administration.

According to RN Singh, president of the Chamber of Industries, currently only a list of 50 industries has been compiled. Demands from other industries are expected to be added in a day or two, after which a complete report will be sent to the district administration.
