After the death of 46 people in the attack by Pakistan on Afghanistan late on Tuesday night, the Taliban has vowed to retaliate. Now reports are coming in of 15 thousand Taliban fighters moving towards the Pakistan border. These fighters are moving from Kabul, Kandahar and Herat towards the Mir Ali border adjoining Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
Pakistan took the lives of women and children
Pakistan carried out airstrikes in Afghanistan's Paktika province. The airstrikes aimed at destroying a Taliban training facility and targeting the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) killed 46 people, mostly women and children. A Pakistani official said the strikes targeted terrorist hideouts inside Afghanistan using jets and drones.
The bet backfired on Pakistan
Pakistan confirmed the attack on Thursday. The ruling Taliban and the TTP in Afghanistan are separate but allied groups. Pakistan has been using the Taliban as a strategic weapon against India. Groups like Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba operated while receiving training in Taliban-controlled areas. However, now this is backfiring on Pakistan.
Terrorist attacks increased in Pakistan
Terrorist attacks have increased in Pakistan since the Afghan Taliban came to power in 2021. It has been demanding Kabul to control the terrorists using its soil against Pakistan. It says that Afghanistan is not dealing with this properly. But now Pakistan's air strike has increased tension with the Taliban.
