Himachal Free Electricity: Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has said that 125 units of free electricity has not been stopped in the state and 300 units of free electricity will be given to the poor.
Till now, subsidy has been stopped only for those hotels which pay income tax of lakhs of rupees. Thanking the employees for their cooperation on not getting salary till 5th, the Chief Minister said that when the economic condition improves, they will also be given DA and arrears.
In response to BJP member Jeetram Katwal's discussion on energy and hydropower policy under Rule 130, the Chief Minister said that the previous BJP government has mortgaged and sold the rights of Himachal. We will keep these rights. We will keep the rights for 25 percent share from SJVN.
Himachal will get 12 percent electricity
Regarding the Dhaulasidh, Luhri and Sunni projects, it has been said directly that 12 percent free electricity will be given to Himachal. In this regard, it has been clearly told to Union Energy Minister Manohar Lal that the interests of Himachal will not be sold and the projects will be taken over.
The result of the change in energy policy is that now in future whatever projects will be allotted, 12 percent royalty will have to be paid for the first 12 years, 18 percent for the next 18 years and 30 percent royalty for the remaining 10 years. At the same time, after the completion of 40 years, these projects will be returned to Himachal.
23 projects will be made pump storage
He said that since the time of BJP government, Adani Group was getting a subsidy of one rupee per unit, which has been stopped. Seven types of subsidy are being given on electricity. This is also being studied. Pump storage policy will be made.
CM Sukhu told that the government is going to bring pump storage policy (Himachal Free Electricity). 23 projects will be built on pump storage basis. Applications have been received for this, which will produce 22047 MW of electricity.
Himachal became the state with green hydro power production
Himachal will become the country's first state to produce green hydro power. This is being prepared with Indian Oil. 953 projects of 20990 MW capacity have been approved in the state. Out of this, 179 projects of 11,251 MW capacity have already been exploited.
Solar projects will be installed in 11 panchayats in one year The Chief Minister said that the government is setting up solar power projects of 500 kilowatt to 1 megawatt capacity in two panchayats of every district. In the first phase, ground solar power projects of 500 kilowatt capacity will be set up in 11 panchayats in one year. Their total capacity will be 5.5 kilowatt.
