Ramgarh:An 11-year-old student of a residential school in Jharkhand's Ramgarh district died allegedly during physical activity on the school grounds on Friday morning. An officer gave this information. Ramgarh sub-divisional officer (SDO) Ashish Gangwar told PTI that orders for investigation have been issued into the death of class five student Aryan Kumar. "The inquiry panel will be headed by District Superintendent of Education (DSE), Ramgarh, Sanjeet Kumar," he said.

The incident took place at Radha Govind Residential School located in Jara Basti of the district, when the student had come to the school grounds to participate in regular physical activity.

President of the organization B N Sah said, "The student, resident of Basantpur in Mandu block of the district, suddenly fell on the ground." He was taken to Sadar Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

In view of the scorching heat conditions in parts of Jharkhand, the state government has suspended classes from Kindergarten to Class VIII across the state till further notice.

DSE said that residential schools have been exempted from the government order to suspend classes. “We have taken the issue of death seriously and necessary action will be taken after investigation,” he said.
