The father-in-law also told that he has four sons and three daughters. His youngest daughter Ayesha is married to Nadeem. Nawaz also told that Arshad-Ayesha have two sons and a daughter.

Nawaz told that when he decided to marry his daughter Ayesha to Nadeem, Arshad's financial condition was not good, but he definitely had the hunger to do better in sports. For this, he used to take training in the village itself.

Six years ago, when we decided to marry our daughter to Nadeem, he was doing odd jobs to make a living but was very passionate about his sport. He used to practice javelin continuously in his home and fields.

Nawaz said that he is very happy with Nadeem's success. He said that Pakistan's first individual medalist Arshad Nadeem treats everyone with great respect. He said, "Whenever he comes to our house, he does not complain about anything. He eats whatever is cooked in our house. Two of his children are going to the local primary school while one son is still very young."
