In January 2022, the police registered a case of fraud against 17 people including the then Tehsildar of Gola Sunita Gupta and Sub Registrar Dhirendra Prasad for not mentioning the bank loan and mortgage in the deed and Khatauni of the mortgaged land. The police have taken this action on the orders of the court.
Sunita Balia Gupta, posted as SDM in Varanasi, is a resident of Rasra and AIG Stamp in Hamirpur, Dhirendra Prasad is a resident of Mau, Mohammadabad. It is alleged that with their connivance, some people fraudulently got the land registered in the name of Deepak Singh's mother of Suraj village registered in their name.
Deepak told in the petition filed in the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court that his father Shyamnarayan Singh died on July 30, 2009. His mother Phulwasi Devi had land in her maternal grandmother's house in Bagha. His mother had taken a loan of Rs 10 lakh through Kisan Credit Card (KCC) on June 19, 2018 from the Union Bank branch of Barhalganj Patnaghat for agricultural work.
Taking advantage of his mother's old age, former village head Kamlesh Singh, along with his brothers, got the land of his mother's share registered in the name of Shail Kumari, Renu, Sarita Singh, Rita Singh, Sunita Singh, Sindhuja Singh, Nirmala Singh. The mutation was also done on March 15, 2022.
